PATHWAYS

Four honest routes out of five days.

Nobody can tell you what a skill will do for your life, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can do is describe, plainly, where people arrive from here — and exactly what you'll be holding when you get there.

01
You have an idea and you finish it

The most common route, and the one the course is shaped around. You arrive with something you've described to friends for years and leave with it running on a real address — not a mockup, not a pitch deck. The booking app you build for a fictional pottery studio is deliberately the same shape as most small-business software: things to browse, a form that commits, a rule that must never break.

You finish with: a published app and the receipts that show it works.

02
You become the person at work who builds the small stuff

Most organisations are full of jobs too small for the software budget and too tedious to keep doing by hand — an intake form, a roster, a tracker living in someone's spreadsheet. Being the person who can build one properly, with evidence it works, changes what you get asked to do next.

You finish with: the vocabulary to scope work and say no to the wrong version of it.

03
You take on work for other people

Day two puts you in front of a client on purpose: hearing what someone actually needs inside a rambling brief, cutting a first version that ships today, and defending that cut to their face. That's the unglamorous core of freelance work, and it's practised here before real money is involved.

You finish with: a portfolio of verified builds, each one re-checkable by whoever you send it to.

04
You go deeper into the craft

Some people finish and want the machinery underneath — what the database is really doing, why a race condition double-books a class, how a deploy works. The course is built to make that curiosity possible rather than to stand in for it: every concept gets its plain-English explanation and a link to go further.

You finish with: a map of what you don't know yet, which is worth more than a certificate.

THE THING THAT TRAVELS

Whatever route you take, you leave with evidence

Every build in the course ends in a receipt: what the app promised, what an independent checker observed when it drove the app itself, and whether you did it with help or alone. Each one has a public address.

That's a different kind of qualification. Not a certificate asserting that you attended — a record a stranger can check for themselves, years later, without asking us anything.
