Terms of Service

Effective July 2026 · beta terms — placeholder copy for counsel review

1. The service

Australis Desktop is software you install and run locally. During the beta it is provided free of charge, as-is, and may change or break between releases.

2. Your content and code

Everything you create with Australis — prompts, plans, and generated code — is yours. We claim no ownership and no license beyond what is technically required to operate features you invoke (for example, sending a prompt to the model provider you chose).

3. Model providers

When you use your own API keys, your use of those models is governed by the provider's terms. You are responsible for provider costs incurred with your keys.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Australis to build or distribute malware, to infringe others' rights, or to violate applicable law. We may suspend distribution of the app to abusive users.

5. Warranty and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Verification receipts describe checks performed on your machine; they are not a guarantee of fitness for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software in the past 12 months.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and on the changelog before they take effect.

7. Contact
